- Thanks to everyone who emailed our president and representatives in the House and Senate on behalf of the MOTHERS Act. There has been GREAT response and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to do that.
- Our remodeling project is still…proceeding.
The entertainment center is built and we are working on the trim. Slow but steady progress is the name of the game. Pictures to come soon… - Rose, at the tender age of 16 months, climbed out of her crib two days ago. Yes, you read that right. Climbed out of her crib. Nothing holds this girl back, oh NO. We put her back in the crib and watched to see exactly how she does it. She walked to a corner, pulled herself partway up with her arms, hiked her leg up and propelled herself right over. Now we are mulling over other bedding options because the powers that be that designed the convertible crib somehow didn’t think it was necessary to design toddler bed RAILS for that particular conversion. NICE.
- She also likes to blow raspberries on Mommy’s tummy – about five inches ABOVE Mommy’s tummy. Totally hilarious.
- As I typed this, I watched her pull out Matthew’s chair at the table, climb in it and start to eat his dinner. Is there no end to this mischeviousness and these physical antics? We are in so much trouble.
- Have I mentioned she likes to strip herself naked and run around the house full-speed ahead, too? Oh yea…LOTS of trouble. Daddy is sweatin’ bullets already.
- Matthew’s newest trick is spelling words, thanks to his persistent and stubborn nature (it DOES come in handy SOMETIMES) and a little laptop toy with word games on it that he plays in his bed at bedtime. Telephone, airplane, rocket, ladder, eight, nine, web, pie, daddy, house, yoyo, octopus, violin. Yup, he’s in speech therapy – but BY GOLLY that boy can SPELL! Yea, surprised us, too.
- I’ll share a secret. I still wear my maternity sweatpants – they’re just too comfy to give up. Shhhh….
Have a nice day!
I still have a pair of maternity sweats that I wear too. They are actually ridiculous but I love them. It’s almost like having a blankey or something. You made my day by sharing that!!!!!!!
That was so fun to read! Thanks for sharing!!
