Goldie
January 1997 – January 11, 2009
Chris and Goldie, taken about 5 years ago. More recently, she had a very white face and she always had the pinkest nose you’ve ever seen on a dog. She loved to lay on the floor next to Chris with her head on his shoulder.
Goldie doing her favorite thing ever – chasing squirrels in the backyard. Despite a case of hip displacia (sp?) and arthritis, she still ran like a puppy.
Our beloved family pet, Goldie, passed away last night rather unexpectedly and so quickly. We adopted her when she was five years old and she lived until twelve years old. Thankfully, by God’s beautiful design, our children were in bed early last night and my dinner with my mentor was cancelled at the last minute, and thus we were able to be here in her last moments. I’ll tell you more about her and how awesome she was later…too sad right now.
This definitely qualifies as one of those “gulp” moments as we choke back tears.
Sorry to hear this. In my thoughts as you tell the kids.
Very, very sad for you guys
I’m so sorry Tara! I know you all are hurting.
Oh Tara! I am so so sorry about Goldie. Our thoughts are with you guys right now, I know how hard it can be to lose a pet, or as I have come to call them, a furbaby. Loves from the Glannons.
