Randomness 36
February 4th, 2009
- I am always relieved when I get to Wednesday and its a time for a “Randomness” post. Coming up with topics to write about on other days is not easy!
- Nana and ‘Pa (my parents) visited us this weekend. The kids and the “big” kids (Nana and Pa) had a blast.
- I think Nana is probably still combing the knots out of her hair from S’s hairstyling session.
- I lost count of how many times G said, “You’re silly!” to ‘Pa and Nana.
- I refer you back to point number two to explain that one. Must be pretty silly for a preschooler and toddler to call you silly.
- Chris and I got to go on a date night. I’m pretty certain it was my long-overdue birthday-date night from June.
- We visited Cheesecake Factory and saw Gran Torino. On Superbowl Night.
- If you want a wait-free and quiet meal at Cheesecake Factory and an empty theater for the movie, then just go on Superbowl Night. It was divine.
- I met a girl at MOPS today who was from SC and met her husband at the same church I met my husband at. Small world!
- I love it when I am so blessed as to be able to see God working and knowing prayers are being answered in the process.
- I am giggling at myself when I find, or rather re-discover, kitchen tools and gadgets I forgot that I had that make life so much easier when baking and cooking.
- When I took G for speech this morning, the thermometer on the rearview mirror on my car alternated between “ICE” and 34 degrees. I’ve never seen that before. Hmmm.
- I watched the first two episodes of Lie to Me and actually enjoyed it. Pretty interesting.
- What new TV series are you really enjoying?
Oh Tara, I love your randomness posts so much!!! I may even steal the idea
Love the kitchen gadget comment: I found my garlic press the other day and I don’t know how I was surviving without it. Awesome to hear about the cooking; you, me and Jess should get together and have a cook-off (Kate can come too, only if she makes friendship bread)!! No new shows here, just old reliable Lost! Hope it warms up soon!
We’ve been watching Life and Fringe. We also saw the first episode of Lie to Me and enjoyed it.
Favorite kitchen gadget – Thermapen. It’s expensive (about $90), but well worth it in my opinion. Especially when you’re trying something new.
