- I do not like to look at my feet unless I have toenail polish on. Wierd, I know.
- We watched Glory Road this week. What a great movie and an amazing story!
- My four-year-old is getting better at the Nintendo GameCube than I am. Whoa. Is my coordination that bad or is he that good?
- On my MotivatedMoms yearly/weekly chore list, there is one that pops up now and then that says “Do mending/ironing.” Uh, huh. Suuuuuuuuurrrre… I do not remember the last time I turned the iron on.
- Our church is starting a fourth worship service. Can you believe that?? God is so cool. We’re growing too fast to hardly keep up! This service will coincide with the third service and be held at the school behind the church. A separate praise band will lead worship and our pastor will be telecast over there. A very workable, temporary solution until the building expansion can happen.
- My Going for 101 in 1001 list progress: #1 – sent another set of notecards, #12 – I have started writing in that journal again, #49 – write a note to the owner of a local Chick-fil-A franchise about their exceptional service when we visited on G’s birthday, and #55 – one Scripture memorized, now working on the second.
- The days have been absolutely gorgeous down here this week. It has been so good for the mood and the soul to sit on the deck and soak in the sun while the kids play. I even opened the doors and let some fresh air in.
- You can’t do that very often here because of all the bugs, lizards, and other small creatures that might wander in to your house.
- G’s and S’s aunt sent their old GameCube games for them to play. We now have MarioParty, Zelda, Mario and something-about-a-paper-and-thousand-year-door, Luigi and a haunted house?, Pacman and Shrek. Nice to know the old game consoles are coming in handy.
- What are some old video games that you enjoyed playing?
I got Harry Potter for Wii for my bday.
I like to play Mario 3 on the SNES.
My boys found my old game cube a little while ago and started playing with it. They borrowed Mario Kart from my buddy and play it all the time. Then they found my old GameBoy and started playing that as well. I also have a PSP that I never use (was a gift from mother-in-law) so it’s nice to see that getting some use too.
I think they might like one of the Mario Party games. I might have to track a used copy down sometime. It’s also fun when me and Mrs. BigKat play 4 player Mario Kart with them. They love that.
I am playing an updated version of Mario, It’s called Little Big Planet!! I would love to find the old Tetris for my PS3 though — Arg, the format wars!!!
PS. Totally jealous of the beautiful weather in your part of the world!
