It&#039;s called &#039;Perfect Vegetables&#039; and it&#039;s by the Cook&#039;s Illustrated folks. It&#039;s great because it takes each vegetable and provides a simple &#039;master&#039; recipe (basically showing you techniques that get the best results from the vegetable). Then it provides you with a few alterations you can do to jazz things up a bit.

But the basic techniques are the key. I got this for Mrs. BigKat several years ago and it&#039;s been her go-to vegetable book ever since.</description>
