Blessings by Day

Today, I am listing my blessings by day as I encountered them this past week for A Dusty Frame’s Works of God Weekend.  I encourage you to participate!  What a great way to recognize the way God works in our lives…

  • Saturday:  I enjoyed time alone shopping.  At first glance, I know this may appear vain or selfish, but it was nice to be by myself and get refreshed.  I also found a few great new shirts clearanced.  I love that word.
  • Sunday:  I am thankful that S is ok.   Overnight, she ran a high fever that kept us challenged in keeping in under control.  It made me a bit nervous, but she was great the next morning.  I was privileged and blessed to be able to play keyboard in the worship team today – I always greatly enjoy that.  It is so humbling that God gave me this talent/gift.
  • Monday:  Unspoken blessing.
  • Tuesday:  Watching my children playing with play-doh this morning – so fun!  I love seeing their imaginations work.  It’s especially a blessing to watch them get along and sharing!  :)
  • Wednesday:  Just a renewed appreciation that I can stay home with my children.
  • Thursday:  My husband has been instant messaging me the sweetest compliments about me and my new cooking endeavors every morning after he gets to work.  I love these.  They make me smile.
  • Friday:  That it is Friday is blessing enough!  :)  In all seriousness, though, my son had a meltdown after he misbehaved.  Once he settled down and I was snuggling with him in his room, he was so precious.  The conversation we had was priceless and I continue to treasure it in my heart.

  1. I’m so glad the kids are getting better and that you had a great week and met some of you 101 goals. Thanks so much for being a blessing to me this week. I stole this idea and blogged about it too, definitely brings me back down to the humble, grateful place I need to be. Wanna make a date some time this week?
