I usually just make regular biscuits, but my wife makes drop biscuits (takes less time). She uses the recipe from Cook's Illustrated. If you're interested in it, let me know. It's great when you want good homemade biscuits, but don't have a whole lot of extra time (which for my wife is pretty much always!) I love making biscuits!
