- I got a PotteryBarn Kids catalog in the mail the other day. On the inside front cover, it said: Moms are asking, “What are easy, affordable ways to make the summer special for my kids?” Answer: Turn the pages and take a look!
- Seriously?! I would have laughed if it wasn’t so laughable. Tote bag: $69. Uh, huh. Sure. Because I have $69 to spare. On a tote bag.
- My $1 reusable shopping bag from the grocery store is multi-purpose for a reason. Call me cheap, it’s ok.
- Used tote in my closet: $0. Beach towels from years past: $0.
- Now THAT’S affordable, my friends.
- In twenty years, my kids are not going to remember the tote bag with fantastic stripes or their name on it. They are going to remember how much fun we had at the beach.
- I mean really, do I remember the luggage we used on our vacations? Nope. I remember the fun we had.

- 97. I watched The Godfather. Wow! It was really good! Second installment is on its way from Netflix.
- 72. I did pay for the food of someone in line behind me at a drive-thru. I felt all spy-ish and drove away pretty fast just in case they didn’t like someone paying for their food. You never know what people get offended about these days! It was pretty fun though. Hehehehe… Sneak attack! You should try it sometime.
