- Angela asked me yesterday how long I had been blogging. I had no clue! I just looked it up – my first post on here, transferred from my first private family blog, was in March 2007. A little over two years now.
- Hmmm. Wow!
- On August 10, 2007 was when Giggles & Gulps was first launched.
- So where were you when…
- Hahaha, just kidding.
- I could have a rockin’ two year anniversary party! Gigglin’ the whole way!
- I like being random the most. I think the title defines pretty well that way, too – it gives me room to run the gamut with my topics if I so choose.
- Freedom. Beautiful word, really.
- Chris has minor outpatient surgery on Friday for a couple of pesky hernias. If you could pray for him, I would greatly, hugely appreciate it. Also, pray for his recovery for the next six to eight weeks. It will be tough to get a couple of kiddos used to wrestling to NOT wrestle.
- Or does that mean I will be the one wrestling with them?
- We were trying to explain that Daddy will have a big booboo and we’ll have to be very gentle with Daddy for a little while after he goes to the doctor. G says, “Don’t worry, Daddy, I will go to the doctor with you and take care of you.”
- *sniff, sniff*
- He played “doctor” with Chris for the rest of the night.
- I really have to buy that kid a new toy doctor set. He’s improvising lately and using the stuff from the Dr. Potato-Head stuff after he lost or broke the old set. Hilarious!
- “Ok, Daddy, breathe in – 1…..2…..3……” Where does he get this stuff? We’re a musician and a computer geek!
- “Ok, Daddy, I’m going to doctor your arm now?” (“doctor” is a verb in our house, apparently)
- Should we start saving up to help him with med school??
- I read a book yesterday and today that drove me bonkers because Scripture was taken out of context and misused so badly. Bleh. Double bleh. Needless to say, I didn’t finish the book.
- I’m seeing on Facebook that the new movie UP is excellent. What do ya’ll think? We might take the kids to see it this weekend.
I first blogged in March 07 too – it is funny to read back those posts now.
I too have had a hubby have hernia surgery. It took a lot more out of him than he expected. He returned to work (as a doctor!) after 3 long weeks (for both of us!). We discovered he is not the best at being a patient (why are they called a patient, as they certainly have no patience!) and I am never going to have a career in nursing!
(I need to stop using so many brackets!)
