Randomness 58
July 8th, 2009
- It’s raining today. Fine with me – it’s been SO hot lately. It’s nice to have cooler weather.
- We enjoyed neighborhood fireworks for the July 4th holiday. S wasn’t into it so much but G warmed right up and now asks for fireworks all the time.
- It just felt all-American to be sitting with your neighbors in your neighborhood watching fireworks.
- I’m trying again to grow herbs. This time with a kit I bought from Target.
- I got a bread machine for my birthday and I love it! It’s SO nice to put in the ingredients and just walk away.
- Chris also got me a bread slicer guide/crumb catcher.
- I learned last night that I should keep all the crumbs for future recipes.
- Ooooh, speaking of food, I am going to do a post soon about the latest recipes and attempts.
- My mom and dad celebrated 35 years of marriage this week. Remarkable!
- All my facebook friends love my dad now – yes, he is even goofy on facebook.
- Even in real life, friends come up and say, “You’re dad is soo funny on facebook!”
- Are you gloating yet, Dad?
- The kids had their last swim lessons last week and both did so well! We went to a friend’s house to swim on Monday and my stress level was noticeably less just watching them. I even got to sit outside the pool and watch. That was a first. They did great!
- On Sunday, I was playing for church on the praise team and I nearly fell over standing still at the keyboard.
- I love laughing at myself.
- I went to change the volume of something and shifted my weight, and when I shifted back I stumbled a bit.
- It was a most serious worship moment so I am super-glad I didn’t ruin it with a crash from my side of the stage.
- That would’ve been bad!
- What’s been your most embarrassing moment? Can you laugh about it or are you still embarrassed?
okay my most embarassing moment involved my cafeteria, the most attractive guy in school, and me breaking about 7 plates. classic. i love laughing about it!!
Thanks for being such a faithful visitor
Cool your dad is on facebook. My parents read by blog, but not sure they are ready for Facebook!
Another great randomness! ONE of my most embarassing moments…I get in a hurry to get all my info out when I am speaking in front of a group (part nervousness, part belief I am boring them stupid) so I try to hurry. the only problem is I forget to breathe. I did this one time and got so out of breath that I actually was gasping for air (think goldfish on land). oh ya, I was effective.
