Randomness 65

- Second day of preschool drop-off went off without a hitch. G only had one moment of not wanting to go but it passed quickly.
- Very quickly. I was much relieved.
- S is enjoying some alone time in the sandbox.
- I think she is just not sure what to do without having someone closer to her size to throw sand at.
- She’ll adjust.
- I’m thoroughly enjoying our new routine.
- I find comfort in routine.
- I am thankful Scooby Doo is so timeless.
- I posted a pic of G and his Scooby Doo lunchbox and Facebook and it was a big hit.
- Definitely timeless.
- Who needs Poke-somebody and Jimmy Whoever when you’ve got the Scoob-ster?
- S’s birthday is coming up soon. I’m trying to decide on a birthday celebration strategy.
- Day at a theme park? Family party? Party with a few friends (emphasis on few)? Zoo? Beach?
- She’d enjoy all of it so I’m trying to think like a potential three-year-old.
- It’s not working.
- We started watching Burn Notice, seasons one and two. We’re enjoying it.
- Chicken Enchiladas for dinner! Yum!
Abby turns 2 Sunday. We have her nursery friends, babysitters and family coming over for sloppy joes, cupcakes, icicles (icy pops popsicles), and smores. We are keeping fingers crossed for good weather since we have a super tiny house! I am going to string white twinkle lights in our tree in the back yard, and maybe around the deck railing. She has her Abby princess outfit (pink tee with a cupcake and “birthday girl” on it, brown tutu and pink high-top converse. The plates and napkins are flowers and butterflies and I am going to attempt to make matching candy toppers for the cupcakes. “garden princess” theme.
I was going to get her a tiara, but she is too cute with her hair up in pigtails.
I am so glad that the beginning of the school year seems to be starting smoothly. That makes a mama’s heart feel better.
I’m glad also that you are finding your new routine. I too like them, when they are ones that I set up!
Save me an enchilada!
