Randomness 67

  • For my loyal commentors, for some reason I am not getting the email comments!  I am so sorry for not seeing them and not replying!
  • Heather – I laughed at yours about Corey and the SNL skit with Swayze and Chris Farley.  I kid you not that is my all-time favorite SNL show in its entirety.  But I am having nightmares imagining Corey re-enacting it.  Please…no!  Give…me…SWAYZE!!!
  • E-mom…just for you…my random thoughts on Beth Moore’s Esther study so far…
  • LOVE IT!
  • So many God moments!
  • This has always been one of my favorite stories in the Bible.  I have read it and re-read it and re-read it.  But then Beth Moore has a way of showing you things in every word and phrase that make you think, “Well, hello?!  Why didn’t I notice that before?!”
  • I now look forward with anticipation each day’s homework and what she’s going to point out next that will now stick out like a sore thumb and make my thump myself in my head.
  • But with just as many obvious moments, there are just as many unanswered questions which spawn more questions and more questions.
  • It all makes me long to talk with Mordecai and Esther myself when I get to Heaven.
  • As my friend Mindy said, I wonder what they are thinking as they peer down at us from Heaven debating all that may have been said and done by them, when really we have no idea about a lot of it.
  • I am really partial to Beth Moore’s theme phrase throughout the book thus far, “It’s tough being a woman…”
  • It sure is and don’t even get me started!
  • But with class and respect, Beth Moore is not a man-basher.
  • Love that.  Very, very classy.  There is no reason to bash the other-half.
  • I mean…he is a great jar-opener after all, right?  ;)
  • *cheesy grin*
  • In other news…..
  • S IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!  NO MORE DIAPERS!!!  EVER!!!!
  • Even at night!!!!
  • Can I get a Hallelujah and Amen!?
  • And Yes!  I am going to use those words because this feat IS worthy of praise!  Thank you Lord for small yet huge accomplishments!!!
  • I’m going to end this list of randomness on that note….because it is a big note, after all.
  • *happy, happy, dance*

  1. Go S!!!!
I’m happy to report that since Eli started school he is pull-up free at night AND he is sleeping in his own bed all night!
(sorry…not sure what happened with the previous comments!)

  2. What a wonderful study. And, for me, it was perfectly timed. Over the last year, I have found myself thinking a lot about Reversal of Destiny and For Such a Time as This.

  3. Happy dancing with you. Potty training done! Yay! That is HUGE.

And thanks for sharing your thoughts on Beth Moore’s Esther study (and for the mention. You’re so sweet.) I love the Bible story, and learning about the Jewish Feast of Purim. (Does Beth talk about that at all?) Yes, it’s tough being a woman…

Lol, love this: “he is a great jar-opener after all, right?” We love our men, don’t we?

    Hugs, e-Mom

  4. Yahoo!!! Only a little longer for me on the Pampers. Happy and sad at the same time? That is how I think I will be.

I haven’t seen the new study on Esther. She and Ruth are my favorites. Esther was the first woman of the OT that I could find things to identify with and grow from. I learned from her that it isn’t just a story about a woman but history that directly applies to me.

    Love the randoms!
