Flash Mob Phenomenon Ranges from Harmless Pranks to Public Mess – This was quite amusing. The YouTube videos at the end of the article were even better. I was laughing so hard my sides were hurting.

I have a few stupid criminal stories for you – these always make me laugh. The first one is a local story - Inmate on Cigarette Run, Caught Sneaking Back Into Jail. Yes, you read that right.

This one is even better. Given my background in martial arts, I was struck silly reading this article and picturing the events in my head. Man Unwisely Tries to Rob Wisconsin Tae Kwon Do Studio. Unwise…yup, that is a word for it.

In Case of Death, Please Send Email. It seems all this online social networking has spawned a new business. Interesting, indeed. Chris says, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Octopus Sets Off Flood at Aquarium – I had no idea these sea creatures had such personality. I’ll never look at them the same. Nor eat them. Wait, I don’t like eating them in the first place.

Senators Slam Plan for Wounded Vets to Use Private Insurance – I usually keep my political thoughts to myself on my blog, but this story made me livid. LIVID. The government can bail out businesses, then wants to propose to abandon the soldiers who served their country? I have several ideas for the person who thought of this plan…

From John Piper’s blog, A Love Poem of Hope in Seven Languages. Wow. I think I want to hear someone recite this. HeatherT?

I do not recall now how I came across this blog post, but it was very convicting and inspiring. It is easy to give our money, feel good about ourselves, and move on. But what about your time? Give this a read…it will be well-worth your time…

People tease about my, uh, fruit phobias (I eat based off of color, it’s true) and then the fruits I do eat, I am allergic to. It causes itchiness throughout my mouth, throat, ears…very bizarre feeling. People then think I’m even wierder. But I now have justification from this article in Newsweek…Hay fever? Don’t forget to check your plate. I feel so much better now. Less wierd.

On John Piper’s blog, I read a post about John the Baptist’s doubt that I found completely fascinating, encouraging, and comforting. I do not really have the words to explain how much it meant to me to read this so check it out for yourself.

Family Living in Missouri Cave Puts Home on Ebay – I was just really intrigued by this story. And the pictures. As much as I love caves, I think I would miss having so much daylight in my home though. You?

25 Things About Facebook Fads – Cute, but really – did it require an entire MSNBC.com article? Clearly, the author himself was spending way too much time on Facebook to notice the trend, and said “trend” is nothing new. Memes and and lists have been through email forwards and the blogging world for ages. Get over it already, stop analyzing it, find something actually newsworthy to write about, and then have a little fun!

Having More Than 2 Kids Will Destory the Planet, Environmentalist Says – I am so appalled by this article that I do not even know where to begin. I think I’d have to throw up first. This guy’s words also seem to be a dangerous veil over approving euthanizing the sick and elderly. I wonder if he would raise his hand first once he crosses that barrier? Doubtful. On the bright side, my God is way bigger than any influence this crackpot could ever have.

SuperBowl Ad NBC Rejected – Are we surprised? Great ad, though. You’ve all probably seen it, but just in case you hadn’t, I thought I’d post it anyways. Here’s a Washington Times article about it as well.

ThePioneerWoman.com – Oh, be still my heart. I am quite certain I am the very last person on the internet to find this amazing blog or two or three, but regardless, I’m listing it here anyhow because I am loving it. I clicked on the love story link on the home page (Black Heels to Tractor Wheels – how can you not be drawn in by that title?) and was immediately drawn into her amazing love story with her husband – oh, my stars. True life is way better than fiction. She is an amazing writer! If this story were on the shelf at the bookstore, I’d snatch it up. I was totally ready to sell everything and buy a ranch with Chris, fit him with jeans and boots, but there’s the minor detail that his career is in technology and software. Dang. Anyhow, she also features photography and cooking…I’m not good at photography but love it, and I’m learning cooking. See? Be still my heart…

A Voice for Moms – I was also somehow led to this great blog this week. She’s a Christian mom like me with her finger on the political pulse of this country. I have enjoyed reading every single post. Even if you are not a woman, or a mom, this is a great read for anyone. Check it out.
