I think I watched Adam. I think it was before Haydn’s diagnosis, but I’m not sure. I remember the doctor on Grey’s. I had forgotten her.

My friend, Joshilyn, has a new book coming out this year. It’s called Someone Else’s Love Story and it’s about an adult male with Asperger’s. I cannot wait to get my hands on that book. I also loved The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon and House Rules by Jodi Picoult.

I have been tempted by the blanket for myself also. LOL. I already can’t handle sleeping without a blanket over me. I will turn the air up so I can keep my two quilts on me. I feel funny without them.

I have seen these and really thought about getting one for a long time. Please do let me know how this works. My issue is that our son is growing so fast and so large that we have to get an adult size blanket. But as you said, it can be worth every penny invested if it is calming to the child — which in turn gives parents peace.

I’ve really wanted to try one for Haydn, but the cost has deterred me. Haydn and I (and David too now) take 3 mg of melatonin before bed. It has revolutionized bedtime. Used to, by the time they were asleep, I had yelled and screamed and threatened eternal damnation. Now, they go to bed willingly and often before I tell them too. Everyone is happier.

YES! One of our youth showed me a poem and it was about My Little Ponies and I thought he was being humorous and laughed and I hurt his feelings and felt like a cow.

I hate doing that as well. I have been letting Corey handle telling baseball coaches. Sometimes kids ask Haydn about his tics and he calmly says he has Tourette’s. Then, the kid asks what that is. Usually, he asks me or Corey to explain Tourette’s to the querying child.
